Angels Disguised as Parents | Phoenix Family Photographer
I would love to show you more of this INCREDIBLE family-- but because these little angels have been adopted I wanted to be sure and protect their identity!
We had planned to do portraits the week before, and the weather had other ideas-which seemed strange - dreary weather right in the middle of the nicest mildest winter EVER in Arizona! At the risk of sounding dramatic - it was a God thing.
When Mom and I talked on the phone, she had said that they hadn't found out whether the adoption of their little M was going to go through. She had -- in fact -- been on the phone for an hour with the people who decide these things, just before I called to cancel the session.
Mom told me that she was doing her best to talk herself into accepting that M wouldn't be in the photos. The plan had been to send out the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT to friends and family with these pictures... but it wasn't to be. UNTIL we postponed our session to the following week and YAY!!! The news came through and EVERYTHING worked out PERFECTLY! TYJ!
Mom was so happy that I was able to expedite the editing so she could send out announcements for Valentine's Day.
This was more like a play date than a photo session- and did we PLAY! These little people can WORK the camera like nobody's business! Mom told me that their home was eclectic and had punches of color everywhere, so we went for bold colored backgrounds at Mesa Art Center.
I wanted this next image to illustrate how quickly our children grow up- and also the very strong and stable foundation they are providing. I am so humbled when I meet parents who adopt- the openness to their hearts and the selfless sacrifice redeems my faith in humanity! A big THANK you and virtual hug to all those parents out their who have adopted!
I can't wait to show them these collections I created for their home:
